2-Day Workshop on Disinformation and Crisis Communication
Organized by the Department of Mass Communication, School of Arts, Humanities, and Commerce

The Department of Mass Communication is pleased to announce a two-day workshop on Disinformation and Crisis Communication for the students of the department, led by Mr. Rajesh Malhotra, former Principal Director General of the Press Information Bureau. The workshop is scheduled for September 30 and October 3.

Mr. Malhotra brings with him over three decades of experience in media and communication, having served as the Chief Spokesperson for the Government of India during his tenure at the Press Information Bureau. He has also held key roles in the Ministry of Finance, the Election Commission, and other prominent government divisions, particularly in Public Relations and Information. The workshop will offer participants detailed sessions on critical topics such as Disinformation and Misinformation, Tools to Identify Fake News, Crisis Management and Effective Crisis Communication, among others. 

Dates: 30th September and 3rd October 2024

Session Timing: 9:30 am to 11:30 am (Session I); 2:15 pm to 4:15 pm (Session II)
