We are delighted to announce Pongal Thiruvizha 2025, a grand celebration of Tamil culture and tradition at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham on 23,24 and 25 January, bringing together students, faculty, and staff to rejoice in the spirit of gratitude and togetherness.
The celebration will feature the traditional Pongal preparation, where the sweet delicacy will be cooked in clay pots, symbolizing prosperity and gratitude towards nature and farmers. Witness the vibrant cultural performances, including folk dances, mattu vandi, and drama that beautifully showcase Tamil heritage.
Exciting traditional games such as Uriyadi, Rangoli competitions, kabadi and tug of war will offer a fun and immersive experience for everyone. Participants are encouraged to wear traditional attire, adding to the festive spirit and cultural charm of the event.
