An exclusive performance on Thang Ta is scheduled on 24 October,Thursday at Amriteswari hall from 6.00 pm onwards.Thang Ta is a traditional martial art from Manipur, combining the use of weapons (Thang: sword and Ta: spear) with hand-to-hand combat techniques. Deeply rooted in the region's culture, it is not just a method of self-defense but also a spiritual practice, often performed during rituals and festivals.Beyond its combat elements, Thang Ta showcases Manipuri history, warrior ethos, and artistic expression, making it a unique blend of martial discipline and cultural heritage.
