A Symphony of Culture and Excellence
Sargamritam 2024, held at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, was a resounding success, showcasing the vibrant cultural and artistic spirit of our university. The event served as a platform to identify and nurture talented individuals and groups who will represent the university in the upcoming AIU South Zone Competitions.
The festival unfolded over two vibrant days 30 Nov. and 7 December, with students from diverse disciplines and across Amrita campuses passionately participating in an array of competitions. Sargamritam competitions were focused on 5 categories: music, dance, literary events, Theatre arts and Fine arts. The enthusiasm and creativity displayed by the participants were a testament to the immense talent that thrives within the university.
An esteemed panel of judges, comprising experts in various art forms, evaluated the performances. Their insightful feedback provided participants with valuable guidance for honing their skills further. The event was meticulously organized, with each aspect, from registration to scheduling and logistics, managed seamlessly by dedicated faculty coordinators and student volunteers.
The event was hosted by the Office of Student Affairs with the support of Campus Level Coordinators from various Amrita campuses. Ms. Aswathi, Faculty Student Welfare under the Office of Student Affairs, served as the University Level Coordinator. Dr. S. Mahadevan, Associate Dean of Student Affairs, addressed the gathering, while Dr. K. Sankaran, Registrar of Amrita University, delivered the inaugural speech. Dr. S Adarsh, Professor Student Welfare , Dr. Haran Joshi, Mr.Peeyush K P, Mr.Binoy V S and Dr.Lekshmi Mohan were part of coordination committee from Coimbatore Campus.
Sargamritam 2024 also fostered a sense of unity and collaboration, with participants and organizers working in harmony to celebrate art and culture.
Participants were awarded with certificates by the Registrar and Associate Dean.
This year’s Sargamritam not only celebrated the joy of artistic expression but also reaffirmed the university's commitment to nurturing holistic talent.
