Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Shines at the 38th South Zone Competition

The 38th AIU Inter-Unifest, hosted by SRM Kattankulathur University from 26th to 30th December 2024, witnessed spirited participation from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. A team of 49 talented students from Chennai, Amritapuri, Kochi, Arasimpalayam, and Coimbatore campuses represented Amrita in 19 events spanning Dance, Music, Fine Arts, Theatre, and Literary categories.

The highlight of the event was the folk dance performance by Ms.Parvathy and team from Arasimpalayam campus, which secured the First Runner-Up Trophy. Their mesmerizing portrayal of the traditional art form Theyyam captivated the audience and judges alike, earning them the second prize in the competition. The performance was a celebration of culture, creativity, and teamwork, embodying the essence of Indian heritage.

In individual accolades, Pranav Prasad from Amritapuri Campus showcased his exceptional talent in mimicry, winning the Third Prize in the category. His performance added yet another feather to Amrita's cap, exemplifying the university's commitment to nurturing versatile talent.

Both folk dance group and mimicry secured the eligibility to perform in the Nationals happening in the month of March 2025 at Noida.

The final contingent representing Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham was selected through Sargamritam, the inter-campus audition and youth festival held on 30th November and 7th December 2024.

Congratulations to all the participants and winners for their remarkable achievements and for representing Amrita with pride and passion!
