As part of IMC, elective paper 21CMJ604 Public Relations and Event Management offered for the students from MA, a one-day workshop titled 'MASS-UADE' was organized on 5.12.2022 at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore campus to meet the academic-coursework requirements. The event is planned and organized by the IMC specialized students with the support of management and under the guidance of Ms. Aswathi, course mentor cum instructor. MASS-UADE provides opportunities for the attendees an opportunity to understand the scope of Advertisement and the production stages. For the student organizers, the objectives set for the event were to give them 1. practical knowledge about PR and event management 2. to familiarize them with the event organization procedures and paper works 3. to provide them with professional exposure and to connect with industry people and 4. to understand the importance of planning, event proposals, and teamwork.
Mr. Vinod AK, Director cum producer Ad-film industry, and Mr. Susil Thomas Director, actor, and producer were the resource people for the event. On 5 December 2022 Monday event started with a formal inauguration having Dr.Sasangan Ramanathan,Dean,Faculty of Engineering, Mr. Satish Menon, Campus Director, Ms.Aswathi K B, Faculty event coordinator, Vinod A K, Mr. Susil Thomas, and Ms.Gopika Menon, student coordinator lightens the lamp at 9.15 am. Dr. A S Ramkumar, Professor of Students welfare give away mementos for the guests as a token of appreciation. Certificates for the MASS-UADE student coordinators were given by Mr. Vinod A K and Mr. Susil Thomas. The whole program gets concluded around 7 pm with cultural programs by Mass Communication students and followed by the National Anthem.
