Eligibility Criteria for All Positions

  1. Academic Requirements:

  2. Candidates must not have more than two arrears in their academic history to demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence. One standing arrear is allowed. Minimum CGPA: 6.5.

  3. Disciplinary Standards:

  • Candidates should have no history of disciplinary issues, maintaining a reputation of integrity and responsibility.

  4. Relevant Experience:

  •  Candidates must possess prior experience relevant to the role they are applying for, demonstrating a proven track record in similar activities or positions.

  5. Strategic Action Plan:

  • Candidates must submit a detailed action plan outlining their strategies and initiatives for the upcoming year. This should include:

            a. A list of targeted events and competitions where they will encourage their department's students to participate.

            b. Proposed strategies to enhance participation and engagement in these activities.

 1. Cultural Representatives (CR)

· Objective: Inspire student involvement in cultural events, fostering a vibrant and inclusive cultural community within the department.

· Key Responsibilities:

  •  Organize and promote participation in departmental and inter-departmental cultural events, such as Amritotsavam.
  • Encourage students to showcase their talents and cultural contributions through various platforms.

 2. Sports Representatives (SR)

· Objective: Champion student participation in sports activities and intercampus tournaments, supporting a healthy and active campus lifestyle.

· Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and motivate departmental students to join sports competitions and tournaments.
  • Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure students have access to practice sessions and facilities.

Benefits and Incentives for Representatives

All representatives (CR, SR) are provided with several benefits to recognize and support their efforts in leading student engagement:

  1. Green Channel Entry:

  • Cultural Representatives receive green channel entry to Amritotsavam and other cultural events.
  •  Sports Representatives gain green channel entry to intercampus tournaments and sports events.

  2. Letters of Recommendation (LOR):

  • Issued by the Office of Student Affairs (OSA) to support future endeavours, these letters serve as a valuable endorsement of the representatives’ leadership and organizational skills.

  3. Awards and Recognition:

  • Certificates, medals, and trophies are awarded based on contributions and achievements.
