The Department of Mathematics, Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore, in association with Amrita Centre for Research and Development will organize a Workshop on Statistical Techniques in Data Analytics from August 17-19, 2017.
The objective of this workshop is to bring together experts who are using statistical techniques in Big Data, practitioners, researchers, students, data scientists and faculty members for interactions and discussions and to explore possible avenues of collaborations. The workshop also focuses on R programming language which is a established statistical software and involves many statistical and visualization features. It offers an interactive environment with nearly 7000 add-on packages for manipulating data, doing statistical analysis and consequently come across many applications in Big data analytics, Data Mining, signal processing, parallel computing, neural network, etc., The R software has highest data handling and graphical capabilities compared to SAS/Python. This workshop also paves a way to young researchers by sharing their new ideas and experiences which will help in contributing to new theories.
