Entry/Exit SoP for different Categories (Click on the category to view the SoP):

Category 1: Entry  of Day scholar Faculty/staff/Research staff/PhD Scholars  to the campus
Category 2: Faculty /staff staying in the campus but presently out of the campus now returning to the campus
Category 3: PhD Scholars/Project staff/Faculty staying in Hostel- presently outside the campus but wanting to return to the campus
Category 4: Workers from Site ofiice/Housekeeping/Campus cleaning/Agriculture/Central Kitchen etc. coming back to the campus
Category 5: Students wanting to come to the campus to vacate hostel
Category 6: Campus residents moving out for more than 72 hours of  stay out of campus.

Standard operating procedure (SOP) to be followed by all residing inside the campus and Day scholars commuting to the campus:

  1. Necessary permission to be obtained for campus entry from concerned authority
  2. Vehicles will be sanitized while entry and temperature check will be done.
  3. Residents who would like go out of the campus for emergency /medical issues, need to get permission from concerned authorities (Chairman – council of Wardens for those staying in Hostel and Campus Director for all others)
  4. Crowding in open places not allowed.
  5. Always wear masks and follow social distancing.
  6. Restrict your movement to only your work place.
  7. Avoid contacting other offices - contact them through online meetings if possible.
  8. Use hand sanitizers and avoid sharing water/glasses. Bring your own utensils for having food/beverages.
  9. Day scholars- Avoid visiting places like Provision stores/General stores.
  10. Campus residents to follow Covid protocol strictly while visiting Provisional stores/general stores/Milk booth.

Violation of any of the above SOP will attract severe action including immediate cancellation of campus entry permission /expulsion from the campus and suitable disciplinary action.

Category 1: Entry  of Day scholar Faculty/staff/Research staff/PhD Scholars  to the campus

  • Advised to get vaccinated before start commuting to the campus.
  • Need to carry their food and water
  • Movement inside the campus is restricted to the office where they work
  • Need to follow all Covid protocol while traveling.
  • Advised to use private vehicle /Uty vehicle and avoid public transport.
  • Violation of any of the Covid Protocol will result in cancellation of their permission to enter campus.
  • Security will be carrying out Temperature scanning at the gate.

Category 2: Faculty /staff staying in the campus but presently out of the campus now returning to the campus:

  • Need to obtain permission through the email ccc@cb.amrita.edu
  • Advised to get vaccinated before they start from their home town.
  • Should produce Covid Negative (RTPCR) certificate taken 72 hours before their arrival. Those who have completed two doses of vaccine are exempted from this.
  • Should undergo a THREE days’ quarantine in their home/institutional Quarantine center (if staying in hostels or shared accommodation)
  • Security will be carrying out Temperature scanning at the gate.
  • The Vaccination certificate is to be shown at Security before entry

Category 3: PhD Scholars/Project staff/Faculty staying in Hostel- presently outside the campus but wanting to return to the campus:

  • Need to obtain permission by writing an email to at ccwh@cb.amrita.edu
  • Advised to get vaccinated before they start from their home town.
  • They need to start their Journey only after obtaining permission from Concerned authorities.
  • Should produce Covid Negative (RTPCR) certificate taken 72 hours before their arrival. Those who have completed two doses of vaccine are exempted from this.
  • Should undergo THREE days’ quarantine in the institutional Quarantine center.
  • Security will be carrying out Temperature scanning at the gate.
  • The Vaccination certificate is to be shown at Security before entry

Category 4: Workers from Site ofiice/Housekeeping/Campus cleaning/Agriculture/Central Kitchen etc. coming back to the campus

  • Advised to get vaccinated before they start from their home town.
  • Need to apply to the email id ccc@cb.amrita.edu through Supervisor with details of vaccination and arrival date at Kalapatti.
  • Start their journey only after obtaining written permission from the authorities
  • Those who have taken two doses of vaccine are exempted from this. RTPCR test will be taken in the quarantinecenter(Kalapatti) on the fourth day of Qurantine. Fifth day they will move to the Ettimadai. The charges of RTPCR test will be recovered later.
  • Security will be carrying out Temperature scanning at the gate.
  • The Vaccination certificate is to be shown at Security before entry

Category 5: Students wanting to come to the campus to vacate hostel

  • Students need to apply and get confirmation of their Visit from CCWH at ccwh@cb.amrita.edubefore they start their journey
  • Vehicles will not be permitted into the campus. However, Uty vehicles will be provided to the hostel from security gate and back.
  • Need to follow all Covid protocol.
  • Security will be carrying out Temperature scanning at the gate.
  • The Vaccination certificate is to be shown at Security before entry

Category 6: Campus residents moving out for more than 72 hours of  stay out of campus.

Need to apply though email id ccc@cb.amrita.edu 48 hours in advance for requests other than medical emergency.

  • If the stay outside is beyond 72 Hours, while return RTPCR Negative certificate followed by Three days of Home Quarantine/Institutional Quarantine .
  • Exempted from RTPCR Negative certificate if the stay is less than 72 hours 
  • Children (below 18 years) accompanying parents are exempted from RTPCR Negative certificate 
  • Exempted from RTPCR Negative Certificate if administered both the doses of Vaccination. 
  • The Vaccination certificate is to be shown at Security before entry
